Late one night ,two men fighting in the street waked Hopkins up.As Hopkins loved nothing better than to watch a fight,he opened his window and looked out ,but when they saw him watching them,they went round the corner of the house.Hopkins did not want to miss anything ,but as it was a cold night,he wrapped himself in a blanket before he went out.
The two men were still shouting and struggling .Hopkins went close to them,but as soon as he was within reach,they seized his blanket and ran away.Hopkins was too old to run after them ,so he could do nothing but go sadly back to bed.
"Well,"said his wife,"what were they fighting about?"
"It seems that they were fighting about my blanket,"answereed Hopkins,"because as soon as they got it ,their quarrel ended."
