Hi, everybody! I want to begin my course introduction with a very short story. It is said that when God found human beings were becoming stronger and stronger than HE himself, he made them speak different languages so that they could not work together against him because they did not understand each other. So if people cannot communicate with each other, they cannot work together and help each other. That' s why - we need to learn foreign languages. Of course we don' t want to work together against God. When we have knowledge of foreign languages, we can learn about different cultures, get more information, and trade internationally. I know many people get good grades in written tests. But still many of them complain of the difficulty in learning a foreign language. That' s because you learn the language just as knowledge, but not as a tool. That is to say, you try to remember rules, but fail to improve the ability to use the language. In my course, you have to use your English in conversations. You will be given chances to use the language properly in all kinds of real situations. In this way, you'll gradually improve your ability to use English. In short, you can communicate most effectively in the end. Thank you!
