The Beijing Olympic torch relay in south China's Hainan province concluded in Haikou, the capital city of the Province on Tuesday amid the great passion of millions of local people.
During the three-day journey in Hainan, the Olypmic torch relay was warmly welcomed with smiles, cheers and applauses everywhere.
Canadian tourist Nick Thomas said that he was impressed by the lighting ceremony.
Torch bearer Zhang Yaoxiong is a PE teacher in a local middle school. He hopes that he can pass the passion of the Olympics to his students.
"When taking the Olympic torch back to the school, I want my students to touch and feel with their own hands the Olympic spirit."
Hainan, the second largest island in China, is also the biggest special economic zone in the country. It now endeavors to build a Major International Tourism Destination.
The Olympic flame is now in South China's Guangdong Province to continue its journey in the country.
