At least 3 killed, dozens wounded in Beirut fighting
Gunfire and clashes have continued between Shiite supporters of Hezbollah and Sunnis backing Lebanon's government in several Beirut neighborhoods.
At least three people were killed and dozens wounded in fighting on Thursday. The latest violence followed a defiant speech by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
It was the second day of clashes, turning some Beirut neighborhoods into virtual battle fronts.
Thursday's violence took place on a major thoroughfare -- the Corniche Mazraa -- that has become a demarcation line between Hezbollah and the government. And also in the nearby Ras el-Nabeh area.
The violence later spread to Khandaq el-Ghamiq, which is adjacent to the downtown area.
Hezbollah gunmen overran at least three offices of the pro-government Future group in the fighting.
