Kate: Hey, Sallie, let’s find a trashcan!

Sallie: Huh? Why are you thinking about trash?

Sallie: Kate, the McDonalds is two blocks away! I’m not going to walk that far just for a trashcan.

Sallie: Well, you can go ahead and exercise. I’m going shopping!

Kate: Fine. Here, hand me your trash. I might as well throw yours away while I’m at it.

Sallie: OK. I’ll meet you in that store on the corner.

Kate: I wish the stores had trashcans in them. I can never seem to find one when I need it!

Sallie: Yeah, more trashcans would be nice.

Kate: At our high school, there are trashcans everywhere. It’s so convenient!

Sallie: No wonder the campus is so clean.

Kate: Well, there must be a trashcan around here somewhere. I guess we’ll just have to look around.

Sallie: That will take forever! I want to go shopping.

Kate: But we can’t just throw our trash on the ground!

Sallie: Why not? It’s not our fault there aren’t enough trashcans around here.

Kate: True. But I’ll feel bad anyway.

Sallie: Come on—nobody will enen notice. Anyway, I want to go in the store.(drops her trash on the ground) Kate…are you coming?

Kate: OK, fine.(drops her trash too)
