JACK: Everybody,I’d like to meet Rachel.Rachl’s on work experience.She’s here to find out what it’s like to work in an office.Rachel,this is Margaret.

Margaret: Hello,Rachel.

Rachel: Hello.

Jack: And this is Ann.

Ann :Hi,Rachel.Nice to meet you.

Rachel: Nice to meet you,too.

Jack: Now,does anyone have any jobs that they’d like Rachel to do?

Ann: I’ve lots of filing that needs doing.

Jack: Surely there must be something more interesting for her first job？

Margaret: Yes, I know,we’re getting very low on stationery.Rachel can meet the lovely Roger.

Rachel: Who’s Roger?

Margaret: Roger is the young man in charge of office supplies.You can’t get a paper clip around here without asking Roger first.

Rachel:Does he bite?

Ann:No,he’s very friendly.

Jack : Ok.What do we need?

Margaret:’ve run out of staples.

Ann:And I don’t have a hole punch.

Jack:What about paper?

Margaret:We have plenty of paper.But we’ll run out of envelopes soon.

Jack:What about files?

Ann:We need some more box files.

Jack:Anything else?

Margaret:No.I think that’s all.

Jack:Can you remember all that,Rachel?

Rachel:Er,I think so.

Rachel:Excuse me.Are you Roger?

Roger:That’right.And who are you?

Rachel:My name’s Rachel.I’m here on work experience.

Roger:Oh,I see.What can I do for you ,Rachel?

Rachel:Jack Nixon sent me to get some stationery for him.Margaret and Ann.

Roger:OK.What do they want?

“I’ve run out of staples.”

Rachel:Margaret said that she’d run out of staples.

Roger:Staples.Here you are.

Rachel:Thank you.

Rachel:And Ann said she didn’t have a hole punch.

Rogar:Oh,hole punch.Anything else?

Rachel:Yes,there’re two other things,but I can’t remember.

Rogar:What about paper?

Rachel:No,Margaret said they had plenty of paper.

Roger:Envelopes?

Rachel回想

“But we’ll run out of envelopes soon.”

Rachel:Yes,she said they ‘d run out of envelopes soon.

Rogar:Here you are:a pack of small and a pack of large envelopes.

Rachel:Thanks.

Rogar:Now what was other things?Paper clips?

Rachel:No.

Rogar:Drawing pins?

Rachel:No.

Rachel回想

“We need some more box files.”

Rachel:Yes.That was it.Ann said that they need some more box files.

Rogar:OK.There you are:six box fies. Now are you going to be able to carry all that?

Rachel:Yes,Ithink so.Thank you.

Rogar:Let me open the door for you.
