2. That’s why I come here
Where can I see a football match?
Well, at Wembley, I suppose.
Or at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea play there.
And where can I play football?
In the park.
Anywhere else?
At a football ground.
I like listening to music as well. Where can I listen to music?
At a concert.
And where can I read a good book?
In a library.
And where can I have something to eat and drink?
In a restaurant.
All those different places, or. . . think about it, girls. Where can I see a football match?
In the television department!
Right! And where can I listen to music?
In the music department, of course.
And then, when I want something to eat and drink, where can I get it?
In the self-service restaurant!
And then you can go to the book department to read!
That’s it. And that’s why I come here every Saturday, girls. I have a very good afternoon.
3. There’s an important exhibition on.
Telephone guide: Welcome to London. Here are some things to see and do. The British Museum is always a good place to go to. It’s open from ten o’clock this morning until five o’clock this afternoon, and admission is free. There’s an important exhibition on at the British Museum. It’s called ‘The Vikings’ and it’s about the way the Vikings lived, worked and traveled. The exhibition costs £1.50p for adults and 70 pence for children. The British Museum is in Great Russell Street. To get there, take the underground to Tottenham Court Road.
