Both Charlene and Robert are librarians. Charlene is from America and Robert is from Australia. Four days after they met face to face for the first time, they got married. "That was quick," you might think. Actually, they had known each other for nine months before they met. Thanks to e-mail (electronic mail), they had been corresponding with each other through their computers.

It all started when Charlene came across Robert's note in her computer. She replied to it. From then on, they would not only get in touch but flirt with each other. That was how this "hi-tech" romance began. Sound interesting? Well, if you're looking for a spouse, why not give it a try? Who knows? You might be just as lucky as Charlene and Robert.

She has a craze for(or about) chocolate.

They have been acquainted with /got acquainted with each other.

I first got acquainted with Henry four years ago.

6. Thanks to e-mail (electronic mail), they had been corresponding with each other through their computers.

Thank to = due to =because of

correspond with somebody 通信Although I was a college student away from home, I corresponded with my family by mail.

His actions correspond with (符合)his words. 他言行一致

7. It all started when Charlene came across Robert's note in her computer.

It all started ... all 强调副词，写作习惯

If you see an accident, for example, and then you tell to somebody, you might hear the person say: It all happen so quickly.

flirt with 调情---It means that act in a romantic way with someone. Sometime girl will returned: I don’t feel very well. The boy will reply to her: Oh ,My darling, what’s wrong? They talk this way.

10. Well, if you're looking for a spouse, why not give it a try?

spouse 配偶 He is my spouse. She is my spouse.

Give it a try =Give it a shot. I know the job is difficult, but at least you should give it a try/shot.

11. You might be just as lucky as Charlene and Robert.
