98年末，来自洛杉矶的歌手Josh Groban经过声乐老师的推介，遇见了超级制作人David Foster。在David Foster的提携之下，Josh暂时放下著名大学音乐戏剧系的课程，积极参加各大音乐活动。99年初即代替Andrea Bocelli参加葛莱美奖的彩排与天后Celine Dion同台合唱；2000年的民主党提名募款晚会上与Barbara Streisand同台；并应邀担任跨界天后Sarah Brightman《La Luna月光女神巡回演唱会》的特别嘉宾，他与Sarah Brightman合唱的"There For Me"更为乐迷所津津乐道，收录在《La Luna》演唱会DVD中。

2001年Josh获邀参加电视影集《艾莉的异想世界》演出，在剧情中的高校毕业舞会献唱一曲"You're Still You"，精采的演唱立即收到近万封的电子邮件询问风暴。后来，Josh二度客串该影集演出及演唱"To Where You Are"；此外，他还与加拿大新歌后Lara Fabian倾情对唱《A.I. 人工智慧》的电影主题曲"For Always"。 2001年11月Josh首张同名专辑《Josh Groban》在美国发行，由David Foster统筹制作。Josh回旋于流行与古典的多变性歌唱实力完全在这张专辑中得到了多方面的体现，其新浪漫情歌与圣歌的听觉气质，更启动了全新的性灵听觉悸动。

1. children sleeping这里是做snow is softly faling的伴随状语。

2. softly，这里是副词，表示“轻柔地，柔和地”，比如说，She pinched his hand softly. 她轻轻地掐了一下他的手。They treat the children too softly. 他们太惯孩子了。

3. Dreams are calling Like bells in the distance. 我们在背景音乐里听见有铃声响动，好像是圣诞老人雪橇上的铃铛发出的声音。没错，因为这首歌主要就是描写圣诞节的，跟动画片的主题相近，后面也会继续提到。
