Premier Wen Jiabao has visited babies who are being treated at a Beijing hospital. They fell ill after consuming tainted milk powder. Wen expressed his deep concern for the young victims of the milk powder scandal.

Wen Jiabao went from room to room asking about their condition.
He told medical workers to make people's safety their top priority, and to check each baby carefully. Wen Jiabao told hospital authorities to waste no time in providing treatment when a child is found to have kidney stones.
Doctors say that parents won't be able to relax until their children have been examined several times. Wen Jiabao said he sympathized with the parents, calling for free testing of all children who drank the contaminated milk.
More than 20 babies have been treated successfully so far at the Beijing Children's Hospital.
After leaving the hospital, the premier visited a home in Beijing and told them not to worry too much about the milk problem. He said the government has removed contaminated milk from store shelves.
