Residents of Tripoli, Lebanon's second city, say they welcome the reconciliation agreement between the rival Sunni and Alawite sects. The people hope this will lead to a resolution of the problems in the country.
For 3 months, Tripoli has been the scene of sectarian clashes between Sunnis and Alawites.
On Monday night, rival groups signed the reconciliation agreement in a bid to end the violence that has killed and wounded scores of people.
Tripoli resident Ahmad Al-halab says, "We wish this reconciliation had happened a long time ago and we wish the best for all."
