Air passengers will be able to have better services at Beijing's Capital International Airport during the Olympic Games.
The airport has issued a promise that security checks will take no more than eight minutes.
Domestic flight check-ins will require waits of less than 10 minutes for 95 percent of passengers. And the waiting time for international flights will be less than 20 minutes.
Dong Zhiyi is the airport's general manager.
"Our service promise during the Olympic time is very comprehensive. Now all our staff members are ready, and all kinds of emergency plans are in place."
The airport also will schedule shuttle buses between different terminals to run every two-to-four minutes.
The Capital International Airport expects to receive in excess of 60,000 Olympic and Paralympic Games officials, athletes and journalists during August and September when the events are held.
Special passages for officials, athletes and media who are visiting the capital for the Olympics will be opened next week.
The capital's airport is the first one in Asia to operate three runways and have three terminal buildings and two control towers in operation at the same time.
Its passenger handling capacity is expected to surpass 60 million this year.
