More than 120,000 high school students in the quake regions of Sichuan and Gansu provinces take the national college entrance examination this week, almost a month after the exam was held in the rest of the country.

The Beijing News publishes an article saying the writing section deeply moves thousands of examinees with the topic of "What you mostly want to say". Many students narrowed down the topic to the May 12 Wenchuan Earthquake.

They expressed gratitude to rescuers, soldiers, volunteers, and medical staff who made sacrifices during relief work.

Many students said it was heart-warming to see this topic in their exam. Some of them even let out a few tears which fell on their answer sheets.

However, the paper stresses that some students didn't want to talk about the earthquake. They prefer to express the feelings about their families and the expectation on undergraduate study.

The paper quotes an experienced teacher Xue Chuandong as saying that the topic is significant, proving a chance for examinees to express the feelings about the disaster, thankfulness to rescuers and outlook to life. Therefore, one can expect many moving pieces of writing and understand more about these students with strong minds.
