Chinese FM meets Asian ministers on regional co-op

At the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting in Singapore, Chinese foreign minister Yang Jiechi outlined China's policy and stance on global issues such as energy security and climate change. Yang also met separately with other officials to exchange views on bilateral cooperation.

Yang Jiechi says China pays close attention to energy security cooperation within the ASEAN framework. He suggests the ASEAN summit put more weight on discussions about promoting advanced technology and funding energy-conservation projects.
