Chinese follow-up engineering troops arrives in Darfur
Chinese engineering troops arrived in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state in Sudan on Thursday.
The arrival of the 172-member unit marks the completion of the deployment of the entire Chinese engineering unit to the war-torn region.
It brings the total Chinese contingent there to 315. The follow-up unit will join the UN and African Union's hybrid peacekeeping troops. They will work on tasks that include building camp sites, roads and bridges and digging wells.
