Senior CPC leader calls for continued tight security for Olympics

Senior CPC leader Zhou Yongkang has inspected security work around Beijing. He is calling for continued tight security and law enforcement to ensure a smooth Olympics.

At a checkpoint on the outskirts of Beijing, Zhou Yongkang asked bus passengers waiting for a security check to be understanding.

During his inspection of nearby Hebei Province's Olympic security work, Zhou asked local authorities to streamline checking procedures to save time. He says the security loop around Beijing must be tightened to ensure a safe Olympics.
