The pentagon had recently announced charges in the 2000 bombing of the USS Call. A Saudi man has been in charge with coorganizing and directing the attack which killed 17 American sailors. Thepentagon is seeking the death penalty. The charges still must be approved by Defense Apartment official who oversees military tribunals set up for terrorism suspects. Now the alleged flutter, his name is Abbe Alraqui Alnasheri, is the first person to be charged in the bombing. He’s been held up the US military prison at K for the past two years. Alnasheri told the hearing last year that he was tortured into confessing.
A national transportation safety board official is calling Sunday’s media air collision of medical helicopters over Arizona, part of it disturbing national trend. During a briefing, state federal investigators said there had been 8 such incidents just this year. 6 people are killed in the crash near the flat Stadars medical center. An emergency nurse survives, she is in critical condition. The NTSB says a team of 12 or 13 people went out work to determine what when wronged.
The army’s criminal investigation’s unit has officially joined the search of the killer of a pregnant Fort Bragg sodier. Police and farewells are still leading the investigation, and they say they are treating the death as a homicide even though they haven’t determine the cause of her death. Special as Magon Lin Turmer was found June 21st in a hotel bathtub. She was 7 month’s pregnant. A military spokesperson said a Fort Bragg soldier is also a person of interest. Now this weekend, someone sent a letter to the local newspaper claiming responsibity for two miskilling and even claiming other killings. Police say that letter was written to mislead investigators.
The Bush administration is freezing a plan cut of docter’s fees for medicare patients. The 10% cut was scheduled to go into effect tomorrow. A congressional vote to stop the cuts altogether is expected after the July 4th recess. Some positions have been running ass hinting that the reduced raise could make it harder for seniors to find doctors willing to treat them.
