New York continues to feel the heat in the "Sun"

Scorching temperatures have continued to smother the New York City metro area.

For the fourth day running, the metropolitan area experienced scorching temperatures of more than 32 degrees Celsius. The National Weather Service warns that the humidity factor could make it feel more like 40.5 degrees. Weather-related power cuts have affected homes and businesses in some areas.

An energy company says more than 1,700 customers are without power.
