The second batch of aid materials from Belgium has arrived in China.
These materials include 700 tents, 5,000 blankets, medicine and medical equipment for a field hospital. Along with the materials are 8 professionals who will set up a field hospital.
Meanwhile, Egyptian ambassador to China Mahmoud Allam expressed his concern on the massive earthquake and said aid materials from Egypt will arrive in the quake-hit areas this weekend.
"We will send four C-130 military cargo transport planes and each will load as many aid materials as possible, including tents, medicine, food and quilts. I will pick up these materials myself and hand them out to the victims."
Mahmoud said many Egyptians in China have offered assistance to the quake-hit areas. Some travel services have donated around 120 thousand US dollars.
Also, Austrian ambassador in China, Martin Sajdik, praised China's quick response in disaster relief.
"Both from the destruction level of the earthquake and the number of victims, we can see how enormous and difficult the rescue and relief work is. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has frequently appeared in those disaster areas to give direct instructions. I'm really impressed."
The ambassador said Austria is ready to offer more help to Chinese earthquake victims. The first batch of aid materials from Austria reached China's quake-hit areas last week.
