The death toll of Myanmar's cyclone storm Nargis has risen to 38,500.
The United States says another cyclone is forming near Myanmar.
However, it couldn't say where the landfall would be or when it would become a full-fledged cyclone.
At a news conference in Bangkok, Amanda Pitt, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs acknowledged that more aid flights were landing in the country, but said the level of assistance remained inadequate.
"We are seeing more flights getting in to the country. We're seeing more relief items reaching those people in the delta and Yangon. And more people are managing to get in to support that response. However the levels of aid getting in really are not adequate, and they are not enough to meet the needs on the ground."
The World Food Program reports that the port of Yangon has been open again, which it hopes to begiin ferrying relief supplies by boat.
