Chinese President Hu Jintao is scheduled to pay an official five-day visit to Japan starting on Tuesday.
A survey conducted by China Radio International reveals that the Japanese people are looking forward to President Hu Jintao's upcoming visit.
The survey received responses from more than 3,000 people from all walks of life across Japan.
Among them is Kobayashi Yotaro, the president of Japan's Fujixerox Company.
"Since Chinese Premier Wen Jiaobao's visit to Japan last year, as well as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Yasuo Fukuda's visits to China, Sino-Japanese relations are improving. This is the first visit by a Chinese head of state in a decade, so it is of crucial importance. All sectors in Japan are looking forward to the visit. "
Nishimuro Taizo, the president of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, says he hopes more Chinese companies will list in Japan.
"President Hu Jintao's visit will lay a solid foundation for sound development in Sino-Japanese relations. I look forward to it. The Japanese government is willing to make friends with China, which is also desired by China. The visit will consolidate our hopes and is a good thing for the Japanese people."
And Kato Chihiro is from Japan's Asahi Shimbun newspaper.
"Although the Japanese people have often seen President Hu Jintao in the media, they are looking forward to having direct contact with him and to learning more about him. We hope that the president can set aside time to meet with the media and the Japanese people."
