China's top political advisor is continuing his four-day visit to Hungary. Jia Qinglin says prospects are very good for the future of economic ties.
During his visit, Jia Qinglin attended a Hungarian and Chinese entrepreneurs' breakfast meeting. He told the meeting that bilateral economic cooperation between China and Hungary has a solid foundation and a bright future, and upgrading cooperation is a task for both sides. He made a three-point proposal to strengthen exchanges and communication, develop large-scale projects and enhance high-tech cooperation.
During his meeting with former Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy, Jia Qinglin expressed appreciation for his effort and contribution to advancing bilateral relations. He also reviewed cooperation between the two sides in various fields and said China is ready to further its partnership with Hungary.
Medgyessy said Hungary is also ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in trade, economy, culture, education, science and technology.
On Friday afternoon, Jia Qinglin visited the Confucius Institute of Hungary. He said he hoped students there could learn more about China and Chinese culture, and encouraged them to become friendship envoys between the two sides.
He also watched performances by students.
Hungary is the second leg of Jia's four-nation Europe trip. He will conclude his visit to Hungary on Saturday and continue on to Slovenia and Croatia.
