Beijing shows readiness for Olympics

Beijing's Olympic organizers and Chinese athletic officials have shown their readiness for the Games at an "oath-taking" ceremony.

The ceremony took place at the Great Hall of the People on the morning of the 100 day countdown. Members from BOCOG, China's sports authories and federations joined representatives from the Beijing municipal Government at the ceremony.

CPPCC Chairman Jia Qinglin inaugurated the ceremony, stressing the importance of the final preparations for the Beijing Games. He encouraged everyone to continue their hard work for a successful games 100 days away. Representatives from co-host cities also took part in the ceremony.
