China, US discuss bilateral ties

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have held talks over the telephone on bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.

They agreed to make concerted efforts to boost China-US constructive and cooperative relations, and to further develop and reinforce bilateral dialogue, consultation and cooperation.

The two senior officials also exchanged views on six-party talks and the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and Iran's nuclear issue.
