The preparation for the Beijing Olympic Games in co-hosting cities is going smoothly in its final stage, including works for venue construction, sports and media service, security, transportation and so forth.
For sailing, equestrian and football matches, six cities are doing final preparation work just four months ahead of the Olympics.

Qingdao, the harbor city in east China's Shandong province, has completed constructions of facilities for the sailing competitions in Olympics and Paralympics.
It has also built a breakwater, on which spectators will be able to watch the games.
Wang Haitao, Media Director with the sailing sub-committee for the Olympics, says the breakwater is to better serve the spectators.
''Qingdao is the first city to build such a breakwater and also the first to set the medal board close to it so that people can see the game results easily. The international sailing federation called this the Qingdao Model.''
Wang Haitao says all services have met international standards. In addition, Qingdao has upgraded its railway station, which will double its passenger capacity starting in July. From them on, the railway trip from Beijing to Qingdao will take only four hours, cutting almost half of current time.
In August, Hong Kong will hold equestrian events in which two thousand horses will compete. Two venues are expected to finish construction by the end of May and July, respectively.
One distinguished feature of Hong Kong equestrian is the top-class service for the horses. When August arrives, the racing center will provide 24-hour air-conditioned stables to ensure comfortable living quarters for the horses in Hong Kong's hot and humid summer weather.
Lam Woon-Kwong, chief executive officer of the equestrian committee of the Beijing Olympics, gives details on their other services.
''Medical service is very important work for us. We will provide all-day medical service during the Olympics, which may involve one thousand medical staff members. To better combat weather challenges, we have tested our performance in various bad weather conditions, and we are confident about the service in August.''
For football, which is arguably the No.1 sport in the world, preliminaries will be held outside Beijing in cities including Tianjin, Shanghai, Qinhuangdao and Shenyang.
In addition to six competition stadiums built or upgraded for football matches, security before and after the games is another concern for organizers.
However, Lin Weiguo is confident about China's ability to ensure security during the Olympics. He is the chief organizer for football games with the Olympic committee.
''Our security service is top-notch. The facilities are also highly advanced. In addition, we make detailed emergency plans to tackle any unexpected problems. It is not the first time for China to host large-scale football matches, so we have plenty of experience.''
The official calls on sports fans to be polite and rational in dealing with match results, no matter facing victory or failure.
These co-hosting cities for the Olympics have vowed to provide outstanding services and to hold successful games together with Beijing.
