The two-day executive board meeting of the International Olympic Committees has concluded, with a wide range of issues related to the Olympic Games discussed.
In response to the growing calls of boycotts, Jacques Rogge made it clear that there is a clear line between politics and sports, which IOC will not cross.
"I'm saying that there will be no boycott on the sporting site. We're now assured about the unity of the entire Olympic Movement this week. The sportsmen say no to boycott. I'm saying public opinions around the world does not want boycott, they are against boycott because they know that the only victims are the athletes themselves and athletes are innocent, for the games are about the athletes."
As there are less than 120 days left until the start of the 2008 Olympic Games, Rogge stressed that the level of the preparation work of BOCOG is excellent.
He added that the International Olympic Committee will continue to support BOCOG in the final preparation.
