The general assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees concluded on Wednesday in Beijing. All 205 ANOC members expressed firm support for the Beijing Olympic Games. ANOC President Mario Vázquez Ra?a said in a press conference that none of them have shown even a slight indication of not supporting it.

"As president of ANOC, I can tell you, we have done everything we can to monitor very closely the preparation made by the Chinese. We have entrusted the Games to the city of Beijing, and we also trust the organizer to stage an excellent Games. All I can say is, they are on the right track."

Under a cloud of doubt that the route of the ongoing torch relay may be changed, Ra?a sounded off on the speculation.

"We are quite sure about the route that is followed by the torch relay will be maintained. At least, I hope there will not be any problems."

A joint meeting of the IOC Exective Board and National Olympic Committees will be held on Thursday.
