Overseas Chinese around the world are donating money to their compatriots in snow-stricken areas of the country during the Spring Festival.
In New York, United States, a Chinese photographer exhibition was held to raise funds for relief efforts in China's snow-stricken areas. The Chinese community in New York also has collected donations totalling about 75,000 US dollars during the Chinese Lunar New Year season.

The overseas Chinese in New York donated actively to help people in disaster-hit areas to conquer difficulties. They are all showing high enthusiasm and patriotism.
In Europe, the overseas Chinese in the Netherlands have also donated 10,000 euros to China's snow-stricken areas. The money was originally allocated for the inauguration ceremony of the Chairman of the Dutch-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
But Yang Hong, the new chairman of the chamber of commerce, says he regards the donation ceremony as the best inauguration he could ever have.
After hearing about the snow disaster, all the chamber members were quite touched. Although we are far away from the motherland, what we can do now is to contribute some money and do some help. We will call on more overseas Chinese in the Netherlands to donate more money to the relief efforts.
