Japan's Coast Guard says the country's whaling fleet in the Antarctic Ocean suffered fresh attack from anti-whaling activists'.

The Nisshin Maru, a factory ship of the Japanese whaling fleet, fell under attack of bottles containing chemicals. But there is no report of injuries among the Japanese crew.

Anti-whaling groups have repeatedly harassed the Japanese whaling fleet to interfere with the hunt. Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura has defended Japan's research-aimed whaling activities.

The Japanese government plans to take proper action against this. We will even have to consider shooting tear gas back at them.

The Nisshin Maru was just attacked on Monday by activists with bottles containing chemicals. While Japan reported injuries of two crew member and one coast guard, anti-whaling activists have accused the Japanese side of firing at them.

Japan kills about 1,000 whales annually. It has always been claiming that its whaling program is for scientific purpose and the world whale populations could afford a limited catch.
