BOCOG revealed on Friday that renowned short track skater Yang Yang will be the first torch bearer when the Olympic flame begins its domestic tour in Sanya, South China's Hainan province. The flame will arrive in Hainan Island on Saturday after its journey in Hong Kong and Macao.
Yang Yang claimed world championships a total of 59 times before she retired in August 2006, making her the Chinese athlete to win the most world titles so far. Jackie Chan and local official Pu Huifang will light the cauldron together in Sanya.
