真的好久没写过英语文章了，更不要说写作文。昨晚接到一个同学的电话叫我今天上网帮她改一篇托福作文，她已经发到我邮箱了，于是早上便上网查看，改完后我居然有一种想写一篇的冲动，便写下这篇文章，也当给我同学一个参考，虽然不知道质量如何，在托福能够得多少分，呵呵。我严格按照规定的时间完成，改也没改，所以希望各位来访的高手帮一下忙了，呵呵，感激不尽。

越写激情越大，越写越兴奋，我完全忘记了自己的抱恙之身。昨晚还发着高烧，要哥哥半夜起床催我吃药，全家没好睡过，想来真惭愧。过几天就要到广州学习英语和日语了，这两天要好好调整一下。虽说放假，每天总是忙个不停，忙着应付各路好友和亲戚朋友，今天阿姨来明天姑姑来，我也忙坏了，今天终于是考试以来完全属于我自己的一天了，好高兴，想做什么就做什么。

前天晚上，父亲居然骂读书不认真的弟弟的同时还当众第一次表扬了我，说我是他全家最佩服的人，说我的毅力与决心连他都不如。他说我是一个很上进不需要别人担心的人，说得我都汗颜了。不过我还是很高兴，因为父亲在事业上还是比较成功的，给他看得起也证明我的确也不差啦，哈哈。虽然我和他没多少话说，可是毕竟是两父子，感情多少还是有的。虽然他对我生活很少关心，可是他在学习和物质上的支持是最让我感动的。我学习上要多少钱他从来都是一问就给，问也没问。他支持我买书，支持我在外面学习，我想，我学业上的成功有一半要归功于父亲的支持。

Many students feel that such a home-stay program is a valuable part of their total learning experience. However, others may feel that such a plan offers little value. In a short essay, discuss one or two advantages of living with an American family and then state one or two disadvantages. Tell whether you are in favor of or opposed to the idea of home-stay. Give examples to support your opinion.

many international students who are seeking their dreams in America take the option of living with an America family. A relevant debate is heatedly being undertaken on its advantages as well as disadvantages.

Many students hold a positive attitude towards living with an American family. They deem that for a student who goes abroad to receive further education, the first and the most ticklish problem is to surmount the obstacle of communicating with native speakers fluently and idiomatically. By living with an American family he can be bathed in a sheer English spoken environment where he can touch various people of all ages and diversified topics related to all aspects of current society, which far outruns living with students purely that means a relatively narrower scope he can appreciate. While interacting with his families they can help him correct many mistakes of pronunciation and grammar as well as teaching him a tremendous typical sayings.Moreover, living with an American family can assure you of a broad range of varied family activities and celebrations of all kinds of festivals, which can enable you to experience the local culture firsthand and further probe into its deeply-rooted essence. Last but no least, living with an American family can also endow you with more friends aside from your classmates in school. You must be acquainted with all the family members and probably you will become lifelong intimate friends.

Needless to say, every coin has two sides. Living with an American family will unquestionably have its disadvantages. The first drawback is that the student may preserve little privacy while living with a house of people. Worse still, the elder in the house may treat you like a child and keep track of your trace all the time. They require to be informed where you are going which may somehow make you feel restrained, though their deeds are well-intentioned. Finally, you may feel awkward to refuse to participate in some family activities when invited though you have your own schedule. More often than not at this moment, you will have a sense of little freedom.

To my mind, I still favor to the idea of living with an American family. Though it has some minor limitations, its strengths are far outweighing its flaws. Living with an American family can render the student a sense of belonging to the country he is living in. his mind and thinking pattern can amply blend in the way natives think. He can harvest far more than just simply living in school.
