第一课时(Section A)

Step1. Greetings

Step2. Revision

1,Talk about these questions:

Do you have a good friend

What does he/she look like

What is he/she like

2,Ask the students to list the words about personal traits.

Step3. Talk about some students or some things and present the new words and languages.

1,Present the new words:

calm and wild; Then do Exercise 1a

2,Activity: In your eyes

Ask the students to work in pairs.

Ask them to describe their partner' personal traits. Read it to each other.

What am I like in your eyes

3,Compare two students:

Ask two students how old they .are.

Say: Mary is thirteen now. Bob is fourteen now.

Bob is older than Mary. (Repeat)[板书]

But I think she is calmer than Bob. (Repeat) [板书]

4,Compare two books in different prices.

Say: The Chinese book is expensive. (Repeat) [板书]

3. Play the recording again. Ask students to write the things that Holly and Maria like about their best friends.(Only words or phases)
