Having finished the text entitled “Waiting Three Thank-you Letters ” I was totally lost in thought . The text shows one of the writer’s memorable experiences. On one thanksgiving day when he was at sea , a particular idea occurred to him that he had always received the love and favor his folks and other people accorded to him , but never , never even once had him taken any action to repay them . it made the writer feel shameful and resolve to write three simply thank-you letters to his dad , his grandma and his previous principal , expressing his gratitude towards them and asking for their forgiveness for his neglect of their kindly care all these years .

However , three letters expressing gratefulness and asking for forgiveness brought the writer another three thank-you letters from the three people . after attentively reading the letters almost word by word , the writer surprisingly found that his dad , grandma and principal felt greatly grateful to him otherwise, for his awareness of his thankfulness to them proved to them that their years of effort of dedicating to their own tasks turned out to be of great value , which could gave them a sense of achievement and enrichment . at that moment , the writer was deeply immersed in that happy feeling , and he got to know that this beautiful memory would never diminish in his mind . he also came to realize that how significant and worthy it was to express thankfulness to the people around regularly .

After reading this powerful and moving text , I also felt guilty to the people who have sacrificed so much for me but receive little repayment . probably they are just loving me from the bottom of their hearts and never ever think of getting something from me . but I also learn how much my one “ thank you ” counts in their hearts . so I have also determined to follow the writer’s way and repay them by just simply writing some “thank-you “ letters .
