Two Chinese students killed in Newcastle

LONDON, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Two Chinese people were found dead in a flat in Newcastle, , on Saturday, local police reported on Sunday.
The victims, who were believed to be students, were discovered in separate bedrooms in a flat in Croydon Road in the West End of the city with head injuries.
They have not been formally identified and police are trying to trace their relatives.
The deaths have caused shock in the area which is popular with students and Asian families, British Broadcasting Corporation reported on Sunday.
Det Supt Steve Wade, of Northumbria Police, said: "I would urge anyone with any information to contact the police."
Extra police patrols have been put on duty in an attempt to reassure residents. The police have also asked officers to speak with local community leaders.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later to establish the cause of deaths.
