NINETEEN children have died and more than 1,500 fallen ill by press time following an outbreak of a lethal intestinal virus in Anhui Province in March, according to Xinhua. In early March, hospitals in Fuyang started admitting children with fever and blisters in their mouths. The local government denies there was a delay in notifying the public of the outbreak.
